Joseph H. Meyer began producing pearl jewelry in 1911. Unfortunately, the pieces of jewelry remained unsigned until 1950. Richelieu's pearls are particularly valued for their perfect pearl shine and natural iridescence. At the end of the 70s, Richelieu bought the brand Lisner and in 1979 it was itself bought by the company Victoria & Co, which also includes brands such as Napier and Givenchy. Unfortunately, Victoria & Co. stopped the production of Richelieu pearl jewelry in 2003.
