RICHELIEU - 1911 to 2003
"Timeless elegance, with a touch of pearl perfection."
Joseph H. Meyer founded his jewelry company in 1911 and specialized in the production of pearl jewelry. Unfortunately, the jewelry pieces remained unsigned until 1950. In the 1950s, Joseph introduced the Richelieu pearl jewelry collection, capturing the spirit of the times. The Richelieu pearls were particularly valued for their perfect luster and natural iridescence. At the end of the 1970s, Richelieu acquired the brand: Lisner and was itself bought in 1979 by the company: Victoria & Co, which also included brands like Napier and Givenchy. Unfortunately, Victoria & Co. ceased production of Richelieu pearl jewelry in 2003.
