Mister Whiting developed a bag made of metal mesh as early as 1892. These bags became a fashion accessory for every woman in the 1920s and are now popular collector's items. The first jewelry collections were created as early as 1931 and were produced until 1991. The jewelry was often silver plated or reproduced jewelry from museums. Jewelry production was stopped, but the famous mesh bags are still popular evening bags in vintage style on the arm of famous personalities.
