Whiting & Davis developed a metal mesh bag as early as 1892. These bags became a fashionable accessory for every lady in the 1920s and are now popular collector's items. The first jewelry collections were created in 1931, which were produced until 1991. The jewelry was often silver-plated or reproduced jewelry from museums. Unfortunately, jewelry production was discontinued. The famous mesh bags are still made today in a variety of designs and are popular evening bags in vintage style on the arms of famous personalities.
