William DeLizza and Harold Elster founded their costume jewelry production company in 1947. Any prominent designer could realize their designs at Delizza and Elster. The list of brands for which DeLizza produced is endless: Albert Weiss, Kenneth Lane, Alice Caviness, Kramer, Karu, Mimi di N., and many more. The jewelry collections they designed themselves were called "Juliana" and were sold directly to well-known retailers. This jewelry was never signed and is now identified only by its unique characteristics. The pieces have a distinctive aesthetic with elaborate embellishments and complex stone arrangements. Today, Juliana jewelry pieces are highly sought after and considered valuable collectibles.
