DIOR since 1946

Right from the start, the first collection by Christian Dior revolutionized fashion with the "New Look." His worldwide success was enormous and set the style for many years. The costume jewelry was handpicked for each new season and clothing collection. The crystal stones and pearls were exclusively made for Dior. Dior was the first designer to order the Aurora Borealis stones from SWAROVSKI and also gave them the name Polar Light. As early as 1955, the German company HENKEL & GROSSE produced the costume jewelry for Dior. The collaboration extended over the next 50 years, which is why most vintage costume jewelry from Dior is "Made in Germany."
