Albert Weiss was the first jewelry designer to recognize the Christmas tree as the perfect shape for designing with rhinestones. In the 1950s, he designed his Christmas tree brooches in a variety of styles. They became bestsellers and were copied by his competitors. In the 1980s, these brooches were rediscovered by passionate collectors. During this time, companies emerged that exclusively produced Christmas tree brooches and were inspired by the old designs. Other Christmas ornaments included candy canes, bells, and wreaths.
